Stefan Grecu is a newbie to the Bow Valley. He grew up in the rolling hills and farmland of southeastern Pennsylvania, a place where there are no big mountains, summers are hot and humid, and winters are damp and cold. Stefan’s roots go back to Romania and Germany, but he’s ethnically half-Bolivian… go figure. Thus, he was drawn to study anthropology, after music and business, and he loves to find cultural quirks wherever he travels.
Stefan was an elite cyclist in the USA and later decided to become a cycling tour guide in Europe. It was the perfect place for him to do the things he lovesmost; cook, cycle, taste wine, explore landscapes and history, learn languages, and meet new people. Among other things, he began writing during his travels and has found much enjoyment from sharing his experiences. He was lucky enough to capture the heart of a beautiful girl from Canmore while in Spain, and is now in the process of being imported into Canada.
Adjusting to his life in the mountains will take some time and he looks forward to sharing the newbie experience with the community. He hopes you enjoy reading about the Bow Valley as he sees it through fresh eyes!
