Chloes family is still confused as to how the little girl from downtown Toronto developed such a passion for the wilderness.
After completing degrees in Physical and Health Education, Geography and Outdoor Experiential Education at Queens University, she hit the road.
Chloe has spent the past decade leading extended canoe and raft trips in Ontario, Quebec, the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, as well as traveling internationally and within Canada. She has circumnavigated the South Island of New Zealand by bicycle, dog sledded in the far north and paddled to the Arctic Ocean.
Her biggest adventure to date, has been founding Connected in Motion, a not-for-profit organization that uses outdoor adventure and physical activity as a forum for experiential diabetes education for young adults in Canada. Inspired by her diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes at age 18, Chloe has been breathing fresh air into diabetes education.
In 2010, she moved to Canmore with her hubby Rob. After 9 years of living in a tent, they decided to find a place to call home.
