artsPeak – Canmore Arts Festival
Presented by the Canadian Mountain Arts Foundation, artsPeak is a weekend long festival celebrating the arts in Canmore. artsPeak offers festival guests a wonderful and inspiring array of arts related activities for people of all ages and interests! And, the majority of the events are free!
artsPeak 2012 will be divided into the following discipline:
artSee – Visual Artists (eg. painters, sculptors, potters, etc.)
artLens – Media Artists (eg. photographers, filmmakers, animators, etc.)
artWord – Literary Artists (eg. poets, novelists, children’s authors, etc.)
artStage – Performing Artists (eg. singers, songwriters, actors, dancers, etc.
FESTIVAL STAGE (2pm to 11pm) will be where artists of all disciplines will get their chance to shine should they choose. While a big component of this stage will be the Performing Arts, artists of all disciplines will be welcome to perform on this large outdoor tented stage. As the Festival Grounds will wind down around 6pm. The stage will get going and create a Festival Party outdoor environment showcasing talent of the Bow Valley.
