Discussed only in soft whispers, locals meet at a secret location on the river for a picnic dinner. Its pretty amazing! If you dont know a local who can hook you up with the details, your best bet may be to buy a six pack around 5pm-ish in Banff, and you should be able to run into some locals who are doing the same that will be able to share the exact location of the spot.
Seriously, I’ve been blindfolded every time I’ve gone so I don’t know the coordinates. Fine. That last part was a lie, but tag along with some locals or someone that’s done it before. Or maybe a lovely Highliner can share some details on Facebook or Twitter about where the exact spot is.
