There are a few things you can count on for Banff in the summer:
1. A short delay when you are in a rush because deer are crossing a road.
2. Crazy traffic into the park on Canada Day
3. A series of fascinating and informative presentations at the Whyte put on by Parks Canada.
Conservation Updates: Research and Active Management in Banff National Park is sure to deliver some interesting content and you know a lot of locals will be there. Parks Canada Resource Conservation Specialists will share their monitoring and active management projects in Banff National Park, answer questions and demonstrate some of the tools and techniques they use in their work.
And if you are interested in any of the past presentations, they are all available at Park Radios website.
(And dont tell anyone, but these few opportunities are the BEST way to get into the Whyte for free to see the current exhibition in the main gallery)
