Presented by the Canadian Mountain Arts Foundation, artsPeak is a weekend long festival celebrating the arts in Canmore. artsPeak offers festival guests a wonderful and inspiring array of arts related activities for people of all ages and interests! And, the majority of the events are free!
artsPeak 2012 will be divided into the following discipline:
FESTIVAL STAGE (2pm to 11pm) will be where artists of all disciplines will get their chance to shine should they choose. While a big component of this stage will be the Performing Arts, artists of all disciplines will be welcome to perform on this large outdoor tented stage. As the Festival Grounds will wind down around 6pm. The stage will get going and create a Festival Party outdoor environment showcasing talent of the Bow Valley.

To help open the new Willock & Sax Gallery opening, Dwayne Harty (Yellowstone to Yukon) and Mitchell Fenton (Views of Lake O’Hara) will be in attendance.
Dwayne Harty celebrates the Yellowstone to Yukon Initiative and Mitchell Fenton showcases the magnificent landscape of Lake O’Hara.
Visit the home of philanthropists, world travellers and visual artists Peter and Catharine (Robb) Whyte. Marvel at the romantic vision reflected in the home of collectors and community leaders Philip and Pearl (Brewster) Moore. Enjoy an intimate look at the homes and worldly yet simple lifestyles of the people who inhabited them.
Note: Tours are offered on a first come, first served basis and are limited to eight people.
Yellowstone to Yukon: The Journey of Wildlife and Art – Opening Reception
Check out the opening reception of this international exhibit that captures the connection between art and nature conservation past, present and future. The evening will feature artist Dwayne Harty and the book launch of Yellowstone to Yukon: The Journey of Wildlife and Art, edited by Harvey Locke.
